Professional Baseball Player Chase Anderson to Attend the 6th Annual MECA Vest a K-9 Fest

Milwaukee, WI, May 19, 2017 –For the sixth consecutive year, Milwaukee Brewers will show their support for the MECA Foundation by attending MECA Vest A K-9 Fest 2017.  Pitcher Chase Anderson has announced that he will attend MECA Vest A K-9 Fest on July 15th, at Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals.


“The support of Milwaukee’s Major League players has been astonishing,” said Marla Lichtenberger, DVM, DACVECC, Founder of the MECA Foundation.  “I’m overwhelmed with gratitude on their unwavering commitment to help raise awareness for such a great cause,” she said.


MECA Vest A K-9 Fest is an annual event, held at the Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals, to raise funds for police canines throughout Wisconsin to be equipped with bullet and stab proof vests.  This family-friendly event includes live entertainment, guest appearances by local athletes, food and fun for all ages.


“As we continue our mission to vest Wisconsin’s police canines with bullet and stab resistant vests, the support from the community grows.  In this day and age, community safety is a headlining priority and the MECA Foundation is eager to help,” noted Lichtenberger.


The MECA Foundation, founded by Marla Lichtenberger, DVM, DACVECC is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting every police dog in the state of Wisconsin with bullet resistant and stab proof vests.  In addition, the MECA Foundation also assists Wisconsin police K-9 Units purchase police dogs by donating grants to Wisconsin K-9 Units.
